Albania will not require vaccination passports for anyone seeking to come on holiday during the tourist season.
The statement comes from the head of government Edi Rama, at the joint conference with the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi.
Rama states that no one will encounter obstacles when entering Albania, while adding that they aim at reaching 1 million vaccinations.
"Albania will not impose any conditions or obstacles. Everyone who comes to Albania for a tourist season, which should be much easier than last year. I am following with great pleasure the whole process of bookings and requests that grow from other countries to come to Albania.
We are today in an admirable position from the epidemiological point of view, we will continue with the vaccination at a fast pace. The target is 1 million. The work continues for Albania to smile, freed from this nightmare and its main capacity related to tourism to be used as much as possible this year and in the coming years," said Rama.
