PM Rama Meets Greek Counterpart in Lithuania
The prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, met with the prime minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the French president, Emmanuel Macron, and the German chancellor, Olaf Sotrz, in Lithuania, shortly before the NATO summit that is expected to be held there.
The Greek media reported the news, according to which, Mitsotakis is expected to raise the issue of the arrest of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, by the Albanian authorities.
Greek media also report that the focus is on the meeting that the Greek Prime Minister will have with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday.
It is also learned that in addition to this meeting, which is a "window" of opportunity for the resumption of Greece-Turkey relations, the Greek Prime Minister will have a series of important meetings with foreign leaders.
