PM Rama Meets US Secretary Blinken
The meeting of the Prime Minister Edi Rama with the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has started in the USA. This face-to-face meeting between the two officials is scheduled to last about 45 minutes, as reported.
Rama's meeting comes after the decision that the US and Albania should be co-hosts of the Ukraine issue in the United Nations Security Council.
The meeting on February 15 will be the second meeting between Edi Rama and Antony Blinken, after the one on June 13, 2021 in Brussels, where the US and Albania signed a memorandum on 4G and 5G security.
In addition to the Security Council and the meeting with the Secretary of State, the head of the Albanian government will hold meetings with other officials to discuss possible military and educational cooperation between the two countries.
Rama met on Monday in the US, UN Secretary General António Guterres. The head of government also published the images from the meeting, emphasizing that Albania has just taken the responsibility of co-host with the United States.
