New Ministry for Public Administration, Anti-Corruption Proposed
Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced the creation of another ministry, that of the Ministry of State for Public Administration and Anti-corruption.
To head this department, Rama has proposed the name of Adea Pirdeni, who has held the post of Deputy Minister of Justice.
Through a post on social networks, the head of government writes that in this new phase of the country's development and in the conditions when Albania is working on the chapters of negotiations for membership with the European Union, a new approach to public administration is required.
Likewise, Rama states that it is advisable that the government's anti-corruption policies be better harmonized between the executive institutions, with the demands of the challenging process of negotiations with the EU for all the country's institutions, as well as with the civil society and entrepreneurship itself.
"In order to promote this new approach and address the above challenges, I will send the President of the Republic the proposal for the approval of another new member of the government cabinet, as Minister of State for Public Administration and Anticorruption. This task will be performed by Mrs. Adea Pirdeni, who has performed the role of Deputy Minister of Justice for the last three years and has stood out with her leadership and professionalism in the role of Deputy Chief Negotiator with the European Union, as well as in covering the chapter major of the Judiciary of Fundamental Rights", writes Rama.
