PM Rama to Meet Western Balkans Leaders ahead of Berlin Process Summit

Prime Minister Edi Rama will host this Monday in an informal meeting the leaders of the Western Balkans. 

EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varheyli, is also expected to be present. 

This meeting takes place in the framework of the preparations for the Berlin Process summit,, which is to be held in October in Tirana. 

Participation has been confirmed by four prime ministers of the region, Serbia's Ana Brnabic, Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic and Bosnia-Herzegovina Prime Minister Borjana Kristo. 

On his part, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received an invitation, but he refused. 

PM Kurti has chosen to go to an international symposium being held in Greece, where Albania is presented by a group of non-governmental organizations headed by Remzi Lami. 

For the informal meeting, the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi was confirmed, but this meeting of Bislimi with the heads of the region will not be possible due to protocol. 

Bislim has been informed by the organizers of the meeting that his level is secondary and not suitable, as well as that the agenda for the meeting will be sent by mail to the government of Kosovo, namely the prime minister's office.
