Pope Francis's Funeral to Be Held on Saturday
Pope Francis's body will be moved to St Peter's Basilica for public mourning on Wednesday, with his funeral planned for Saturday, the Vatican confirmed this morning.
US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and French President Emmanuel Macron are among those planning to attend the funeral.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin's press secretary announced that the Russian president doesn't plan to attend the ceremony.
The Vatican released an image of Pope Francis in an open casket in the chapel of Casa Santa Marta. St Peter's Square is still receiving large groups of visitors, with people also making their way to the church of St.Mary Major, where the Pope has asked to be laid to rest after his funeral.
Earlier today, a mass was held at Pope Francis's home church in Argentina.
