President Bajram Begaj has decreed on Wednesday the granting of major ranks in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania. 

General Ilir Xhebezhia as Commander of the Land Force has received the rank of Major General, while the commanders Altin Kurti, Bardhyl Nuredinaj, Aleksandër Pando and Vullnet Doka have received the rank of 'Brigade General'. 

"The President of the Republic His Excellency Bajram Begaj decreed today the granting of major ranks in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania: 

Brigadier General Ilir Hasan Xhebezhia, with the duty of "Commander of the Land Force", is given the major rank of "Major General", by Decree no. 30, dated 24.1.2024. 

Colonel Aleksandër Koço Pando, acting as "Director" of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the General Staff of the Armed Forces, is given the major rank of "Brigade General", by Decree no. 31, dated 24.1.2024. 

Colonel Altin Qerim Kurti, with the duty "Military Attaché of the Republic of Albania in the Republic of Kosovo, non-resident in the Republic of Montenegro and North Macedonia", in the Military Representation Abroad, is given the major rank of "Brigadier General", by Decree no. 32, dated 24.1.2024. 

Colonel Bardhyl Feim Nuredinaj, with the position of "Deputy Commander of the Academy of the Armed Forces", in the Academy of the Armed Forces, is given the major rank of "Brigade General", by Decree no. 33, dated 24.1.2024. 

Colonel Vullnet Murat Doka, with the duty of "Coordinator for cooperation with Central Institutions" in the United Operational Center, is given the major rank of "Brigade General", by Decree no. 34, dated 24.1.2024," it is said in the notice.
