Former USA President, Clinton Amazed by Albanians' Reception

Former American President Bill Clinton started his speech in Tirana with appreciation for the special reception that is given to him even though he comes as a citizen without any public power.

He told an episode from the meeting with some Albanians in America, showing that a week ago they told him what he would do during his visit to Tirana.

"I am speechless. I think that if I had a very sound judgment I would not say anything, I am really speechless. To all those who were part of this day, I want to thank you for a moment that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

It has been more than 10 years since my wife came here as secretary of state. I always asked how you were feeling, how are you doing because I always wanted to come. Although I am a citizen without any power I can speak on this matter on behalf of the American people. Regarding our political parties, our philosophical differences, sometimes even our religious differences, we are committed to the freedom and future of Albania.

I am grateful for what the prime minister said about Kosovo. Hillary and I live in New York, which is the country with the largest concentration of Albanians in America. A week before I left I was walking and passed three excellent Albanian restaurants.

People came out and told about my agenda here. They knew better what I would do here. I want to say thank you to the prime minister for the words he said," declared Clinton.
