Residents of Himara will vote for their new mayor on August 4.

President, Bajram Begaj decreed the elections date, right after the decision of the Central Elections Commission (CEC) to remove the mandate of the elected mayor, Fredi Beleri actually arrested on vote buying charge.

Beleri was arrested on 12 may 2023, two days prior to the elections.

He recently was condemned with two years of jail.
