President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has decreed decision that Brigadier General Ylli Nikoll Pulaj, with the duty of "Deputy Commander of the Air Force", is appointed "Commander of the Air Force".

Head of state has also decreed decision for the promotion of Colonel Bilbil Qazim Bitri, from the duty of "director" of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, to "Brigadier General".

Nevertheless, the decrees were signed by President Meta on January 5, 2022 and enter into force immediately.

"I had the pleasure to decree, with the proposal of the Minister of Defense, the appointment of General Brigade z. Ylli Pulaj in the very important duty of the Air Force Commander, as well as awarding the 'General Brigade' rank for Mr. Bilbil Bitri, as Director of General Staff in the Armed Forces.

I hope these decrees serve modernization of our military to successfully face the challenges of time", announced President Meta.
