President Receives New Australian Ambassador to Albania
President of the Republic, Ilir Meta received this Monday the new Ambassador of Australia in Albania, resident in Rome, Margaret Eileen Twomey AM on the occasion of the presentation of Letters of Credence.
President Meta wished Ambassador Twomey success in her diplomatic mission in Albania and expressed her willingness to further strengthen the friendly relations between our two countries in areas of mutual interest in the bilateral plan, as well as to strengthen cooperation in the multilateral plan, especially within of the UN, during the two-year mandate of Albania, as a non-permanent member of the Security Council.
President Meta and Ambassador Twomey praised the important role of the Albanian community in Australia in establishing bridges of cooperation between the countries, as well as further strengthening and intensifying relations, both at the central and local levels.
