Prime Minister Edi Rama met this Monday with some representatives of the Socialist Party after the latest developments in this political force. It is learned that the head of the government has met with newly proposed Interior Minister Taulant Balla, Socialist Party Secretary-General Damian Gjiknuri, Justice Minister Ulsi Manja and Secretary General of Council of Ministers, Engjëll Agaçi at Vila 30.

The meeting comes after the dismissal of the Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, and the proposal to this post of the head of the parliamentary group of the SP, Taulant Balla.

Meanwhile, also today, SPAK's (Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime) request to the Parliament to arrest former Deputy PM Arben Ahmetaj and seize his apartment was made public.

Prime Minister Edi Rama decided to dismiss Bledi Çuçi from his post after the incident in Borizane of Fushë-Kruja, where members of the Rraja family assaulted two other people with baseball bats and the cause was a fight over the quarry.

Two days after the event, on July 8, Rrahman Rraja resigned from the mandate of MP and a few hours later the government announced the dismissal of Çuçi as Minister of the Interior.
