Prime Minister Edi Rama said that next week he will announce the new government, coming out of the elections of April 25, 2021.

In his concluding speech of the second governing mandate, Rama stated that the new government requires a good governing formation, a good chairman of the parliamentary group, as well as a long bench to be able to energize the party.

"The new government will be announced next week. We have a champion team, where there are many choices for each role. The 4-year championship that started the day after the last elections requires not only a good governing formation, a good chairman of the parliamentary group or an effective chairman of the party itself, but a long bench to be able to energize the party. With much gratitude to all of you, your support, your contribution, I thank you once again for all this challenging period of time", said the Prime Minister.

Further, Rama spoke about the achievements of these two mandates in all fields, such as culture, defence, or foreign policy. 

"We have done for culture as well, but we will do a lot with projects that are on the way, such as the realization of the National Theatre, or others. We could have done more with the formalization of the economy, but we have done a valuable job with the construction of new digital fiscalization systems, from which we expect a great qualitative and quantitative leap in revenue management. Tax cuts, salary increases for teachers and doctors, despite the pandemic, are not small for a state still on site in terms of consolidating its structures. We are the country with the lowest unemployment in the region.

The four new tourist ports, the one in Saranda, where the work has started, the one in Vlora, where the work starts in the coming months or weeks, as well as the largest one in Durrës, are one of the big blocks of concrete foreign investments that will enable us economic growth. There are still many things to be done in order to reach the top, where this government will climb Albania at the end of this decade," declared Rama.
