Actress Mimika Luca passed away at the age of 85. The great actress of the Albanian scene passed away from cerebral ischemia.
A multi-dimensional actress both in theatre and in cinema, after meeting her husband Ndrek Luca, an exceptional actor also for the interpretation of characters and artistic figures, Mimika Luca devoted herself with love to the dramatic art and where she was successful in her performances .
Luca was born in Gjirokastër, on December 24, 1937. She performed on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre as a ballerina from 1951 to 1962.
In 1962, she was accepted as an actress at the People's Theatre.
During her 15-year career as an actress, Mimika Luca has performed in about 30 roles, among which we would highlight Lucia in "Noble Bourgeoisie", Tjen Ny in "The Great Wall", Dila in the drama "Mountain Girl", Nica in "The general of the dead army", Laja in "When the foundations were laid", Sonja in "Uncle Vanja". Her interpretation is one of the best in the drama "Light", a drama written by the actress herself.
Mimika Luca also acted in 12 feature films, such as "The train leaves at seven to five" "Tale from the past" "Taulanti is looking for a sister" and many others. He also wrote several plays, which were staged at the People's Theatre, the most famous being "Light", etc.
In 1977, she was also appointed as a lecturer at the "Higher Institute of Arts", Drama branch.
