The Ministry of Interior published new rules for obtaining a Biometric Residence Permit in Albania for foreign citizens.

MB emphasizes that the electronic service "Application for residence permit" enables foreign citizens, with regular residence in the territory of Albania, to make a request to obtain a residence permit through e-Albania.

After confirming the fulfillment of the conditions and documentation to apply, the foreign citizen is notified to appear before the regional authorities responsible for the border and migration in the territory where he resides.

To apply for the first residence permit in Albania, the proper form of application must be filled, depending on the motive of stay: work, family reunion, study, other reasons justified by the documents, international protection.

The Ministry announces that the application for a residence permit at the regional authorities responsible for border and migration is made within 30 days of entry into the territory of the Republic, ensuring that: You meet the legal requirements for the residence permit which you are applying for; have all the necessary documents from the country of origin, translated and legalized.

The Ministry of Interior also published a video application of a foreign citizen, Jean Alain Jouan, for a Biometric Residence Permit, at the Border and Migration office in Tirana.
