The Russian Embassy in Tirana has not an official statement over the diplomat who was announced persona non grata by the Albanian state this Thursday. But the Russian media, citing sources by this Embassy says that this authority has some reservations over the decision taken by the Albanian Foreign Ministry.

These media says that the Embassy considers the accuses against the diplomat Alexey Krivosheev baseless, adding that the fact that the name of the diplomat was made public violates the international diplomatic practice.

"The Russian Embassy in Albania considers the accusations unfounded. They pointed out that the publication in the press release of the employee's name and surname, contradicts the international diplomatic practice," Russian media says.
