Russian Spy to Remain in Albania, Court Says

The court has decided not to extradite to Moscow, the Russian spy Svetlana Timofeeva, who was caught at the Gramsh plant.

The prosecution demanded the rejection of the extradition request by the Russian state on the grounds that in her country, Svetlana Timofeeva will not be provided with legal rights according to the human rights convention.

The court decided to accept the request of the Prosecution for the non-extradition of the 34-year-old.

Timofeeva was arrested on August 20, 2022, along with Mikahil Zorin, 23, and Ukrainian Fedir Alpatov, 24, after an incident that took place inside the perimeter of the former arms factory in Gramsh.

Zorin resisted the two soldiers who tried to stop him and used pepper spray against them.
