Serbs in North Kosovo to Protest against Vucic
A protest is expected to be held this Sunday in the north of Mitrovica against the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i? and the Serb List Party.
The protest will start from 12:00, in the main square of North Mitrovica, and comes after the injury of a 21-year-old boy and an 11-year-old child, in Shtërpcë, and after the tense situation in the north with the installation of barricades.
The organizer of the protest, Ivan Miletic, says that the purpose of this protest is to send the message that "we are fed up with terror and hatred, that we only want peace and to be on our way".
Miletic says that even though the citizens initially doubted the "sincere intentions of Vucic and part of the Serbian List", for the first time they believed that there would be "joint resistance".
"Earlier we tried to organize some protests for the benefit of the citizens, but it was not successful because people were invited at the last moment not to come because the protests do not have the support of the government. But we hope that the people will be freed after this last situation in which we are all manipulated, the citizens will be freed", he said.
