For the first time after the publication of the video of the sexual scandal in the Municipality of Kukës, Safet Gjici faced Alma Kaçin in the premises of the Special Court.

Gjici arrived from the back door of the court to escape the attention of the media, while Alma Kaçi came from the front door, even about 1 hour before the session started.

In the same way she came covering her face with a hat and a bag, in the same way she left the premises of the court, without saying a word.

The court did not change the security measure neither for the former mayor nor for Alma Kaçi. Gjici declared before the court that he did not break the law and that he fell prey to a trap.

"I did not commit a crime. I fell into a trap. I have the punishment for what I did. I agree with the lawyer's position. I ask for a change of measure", he said, but the court left him in prison again.

Alma Kaçi has told how the former mayor harassed her.
"I filmed him because he harassed me during the meeting the first time. I did it to protect myself", she declared, but the jury again left her under "house arrest".

Her lawyer, in an appearance for the media, emphasized that she had requested the termination of the security measure, since the 40-year-old is responsible for the 12-year-old child and the sick mother.

Earlier, in front of the Judicial Police officers, Alma Kaçi told how she arranged to meet with Gjici at 9:30, on the day when the filming was done. She left the car keys and phone at the secretary, while she left the bag with the tender documents and a glass of drink on an office table. She also stated before the officers that she had the sexual intercourse willingly, as she is a single mother and thought that Gjici could create a liking for her.

A scandal engulfed the municipality of Kukës, as on February 16, a video was published in the media showing Gjici having oral sex with Alma Kaçi in his office. Later in a second video, Gjici appears talking about a tender with Alma Kaçi, who asks him to help her take advantage of this tender for the sterilization of dogs. Afterwards, Gjici called the deputy mayor of the Municipality to exchange emails with Kaçi, so that she could send him the project in electronic form. Gjici and Kaçi were arrested on Saturday. He is accused of passive corruption, while Alma Kaçi is accused of active corruption.
