The Socialist Mayor of Rrogozhina is under investigation by the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) even for money laundering.

Regardless the electoral corruption, against Memolla started another investigation for abuses with the funds of reconstruction after the deadly quake that shake Albania on 2019.

The Italian counterparts sent to SPAK a voluminous material on this issue, as they are investigating a suspicious transaction of 1 million euro, suspected to have connection with the mayor Memolla.

A joint investigative group was set up to shed light on this case.
