Soreca Temporarily Returns as EU Ambassador to Albania
The former EU ambassador, Luigi Soreca, has returned to Tirana after the departure of Christine Hohmann, as a substitute, until the arrival of the new ambassador who will lead the EU delegation.
The news was announced by the EU Embassy, which also conveyed his message about the new task.

Ambassador Luigi Soreca, Chargé d’affaires a.i., meets with the EU Delegation team as he starts heading the Delegation until the arrival in the next months of the new Head of Delegation.
“It’s an honour and a privilege to be back in Tirana in this particularly important moment for EU enlargement and for Albania’s EU integration process, and in concomitance with the upcoming Berlin Process Summit in Tirana. The EU stands firmly by Albania in consolidating the achieved progress, deepening the country’s transformation and pushing for important reforms that will bring Albania into the EU,” Ambassador Soreca said.
