SPAK Seized 150 mln Euro Since Its Creation
The head of the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK), Altin Dumani, said Monday that since its creation this prosecution seized 150 million euro of assets of crime.
Speaking in Parliament in the seminar with the theme, 'Comprehensive actions in the fight against corruption', Dumani said that SPAK reacted against everyone who committed a crime, despite political support.
"I appreciate what the Council of Europe said about the judicial reform. These challenges are fundamental for the rule of law and maintaining citizens' trust in justice. SPAK is on the front line of this fight, following an approach based on transparency, international cooperation and concrete results. The independence of institutions, human and technical capacity have yielded promising results that have been translated into concrete issues" said Dumani.
