Following Sunday’s blockage in the Dragostunjë area, Albanian police announced a temporary nighttime closure of the Librazhd–Korçë road due to ongoing construction works.

According to police, traffic will be fully suspended from Feb. 3 to Feb. 5, 2026, each night from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. During these hours, the road will be impassable to vehicles, particularly heavy trucks.

Only ambulances, fire engines and police vehicles will be allowed to circulate. Border crossing points have been notified in order to inform drivers of heavy-duty vehicles about the temporary closure.

As an alternative route for light vehicles, police recommend the Maliq–Lozhan–Moglicë–Gramsh road, in both directions toward Tirana and vice versa.

Police services will be deployed on site to manage the situation and ensure public order and road safety. The Elbasan Traffic Police appeal to drivers to respect road signs, follow police instructions and avoid unnecessary travel during the closure hours.
