Terrorist, Heroine and the Victim - Three Albanians Involved in Vienna Shooting Attack
At least one gunman killed four people and seriously injured several others before being shot dead by police in an attack in the Austrian capital, Vienna, that officials called Islamist terrorism.
In the shooting attack were involved three Albanians, the terrorist Kujtim Fejzullahi, the victim Nexhip Vrenezi and the heroine Doruntina Miroci, who fought alongside the Austrian police against terrorist attacks.
Kujtim Fejzullahi is a 20-year-old man who shot at police, leaving four of them dead. He was subsequently killed by Austrian authorities.
According to Austrian media reports, Fejzullahi, of Albanian origin, was a sympathizer of the terrorist organization ISIS and shortly before the attack, he swore allegiance to the new head of the ISIS terrorist police, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Quraishi.
He had also been targeted by the Austrian secret service, as he was among 90 Islamists who wanted to go to Syria but were prevented from doing so.
He was sentenced to 22 months in prison for membership in a terrorist organization intended to evacuate to Syria and join the Islamic State terrorist police there.
But, this is not the only Albanian who was involved in this attack. One of the victims of this attack is from North Macedonia.
According to Macedonian media reports, he is Nexhip Vrenezi, 21 years old. He was allegedly shot dead as he walked out of a coffee shop to smoke a cigarette.
Former politician Bardhyl Mahmuti also wrote about the death of the 21-year-old.
"After last night's terrorist act in Vienna, a number of media outlets focused on the fact that the criminal who committed this monstrous act was Kujtim Fejzullai, of Albanian origin from Macedonia. Unfortunately, few media reported that the first victim who was executed by this terrorist was Nexhip Vrenezi, also of Albanian origin from Macedonia,†Mahmuti wrote on Facebook, Gazeta Express reports.
And the heroine of all this terrible event is the Kosovo citizen, Doruntina Miroci.
The Ambassador of Kosovo in Germany, Beqe Cufaj, has announced that his granddaughter is one of the police officers who last night in Vienna fought with terrorists on the streets of the Austrian capital.
"I am proud of my niece Doruntina Miroci, who has fought alongside the Austrian police against the horrific terrorist attacks in Vienna. Together we can stay strong," he wrote on Twitter.
Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer appeared at a press conference a few minutes ago, where he made a general assessment of last night's terrorist attack that took place in the center of Vienna.
He said that four people were killed and 22 were injured in this terrorist attack, while he said that the only killer currently proven to be Albanian Kujtim Fejzullahi, originally from Tetovo in North Macedonia. There is currently no evidence of a second perpetrator,†Nehammer said.
