Tivat becomes the Mediterranean Center of Sustainability, Art and Science

From September 15 to 21, the Pine promenade in Tivat will host Ocean Live Park, the central segment of the final stage of The Ocean Race Europe 2025. This multi-day public program positions Tivat not only as the finishing port of one of Europe’s most prestigious regattas, but also as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue on marine conservation, education, and contemporary culture.

Ocean Live Park brings together international sailing teams, local educational and scientific institutions, cultural organizations, and the community through more than 50 program activities across seven days. The program includes scientific presentations, children’s workshops, exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, and talks with researchers.

Grand opening ceremony – September 15

The official opening of Ocean Live Park will take place on Monday, September 15 at 4:00 PM on the main stage at Pine. The ceremony will be marked by performances from the folklore ensemble KUD “Boka” and the Montenegrin Army Orchestra, followed by a full evening of entertainment until 11:00 PM featuring the band To? and DJ sets.

University Pavilion and Educational Programs for Students

A key segment of Ocean Live Park is the educational zone, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor and the Institute of Marine Biology. During the festival, schoolchildren from across Montenegro will take part in scientific workshops, experiments, discussions, and demonstrations of the latest marine protection technologies.

Highlights include exhibits on Adriatic shark and ray species, sessions on microplastic pollution, sea water quality, and maritime innovation. The content is adapted for all age groups and will be available in multiple official languages.

Students of the Faculty of Maritime Studies will play an active role in the University Pavilion’s program, while international research teams participating in the race will also share findings on the state of Europe’s seas.

Evening program – culture on the waves

Culture is an integral part of Ocean Live Park’s identity. Each evening, visitors can enjoy a curated artistic program across several venues: the Pine Stage, the Cultural Center, and Mimosa Beach.
