While in the trunk of the vehicle were found and seized two bags, one containing 11 kg 335 grams of heroin and the other 11 kg 668 grams of heroin. Inside the vehicle was found 1 stolen iPhone and 400 euros. It turns out that the Turkish citizen has an arrest warrant from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office for "participation in a terrorist organization", specifically the Kurdish PKK-KCK.

According to Greek media, the lawyer of the Turkish citizen, Anthoula Anasoglou, said that "My client, persecuted by the Erdogan regime, left for Greece to find shelter. Unfortunately, the wrong connection with a woman, involved in drug trafficking, led to his arrest. He has fallen into the trap of a girl's words. However, I believe that objective findings such as cameras, confidentiality, etc., will reveal the full truth".
