The US Embassy in Tirana has reacted with a post on social media about the government's decision to dismiss the General Director of the State Police, Gladis Nano. 

Unlike the Council of Ministers, which clarified the decision to dismiss Nano with a statement by the Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, who said that the Director had not met the objectives in his office, the American Embassy appreciates him for the work done in the months he led the institution. 

"We express our appreciation to Gledis Nano, who was a strong partner as director of the Albanian State Police and before that, as director of the Office against Terrorism," the US embassy post says.
