Varhelyi Pushes for Implemention of Kosova-Serbia Agreement

The Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood in the European Union, Oliver Varhleyi, declared today in Pristina that the agreement reached between Kosovo and Serbia must be implemented.

In a joint conference with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, Varhelyi also spoke about the dialogue between the two countries, where he underlined that progress has been achieved.

"We think that progress has been made, it is essential that both parties implement the obligations without delay because the momentum must be used and we move forward with the implementation of the agreement... including the one of 2015", he emphasized, meaning the agreement for the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.

Among other things, Varhelyi emphasized the process of visa liberalization and the process of Kosovo's integration into the European Union, where he added that Kosovo is committed to aligning itself with the EU.
