The court of Vlora has decided to suspend 4 traffic police officers from duty and the measure "compulsion to appear" for another on the charge of abuse of duty and corruption. 

In the file it is said that the police officers Medin Canaj, Armir Xhafaj, Renols Mataj, Taulant Kasa, Endri Kasaj, have abused their duty by punishing with administrative measures not in proportion to the violation committed by various drivers ; they have falsified the data recorded by the radar as well as debunked road operations. 

"The Prosecutor's Office of Vlora has registered the criminal proceedings of 2022 for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty" and "passive corruption of persons exercising public functions". 

Based on the request of the Vlora Prosecutor's Office, the Vlora District Court on July 24 decided: 

The appointment of the coercive personal security measure "Compulsion to appear before the judicial police" for the citizen under investigation Medin Canaj, 31 years old, suspected of the criminal offense "Abuse of duty" committed in collaboration. Canaj left the police of Vlora on May 10 of this year; 

The appointment of the preventive security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service" for the citizens under investigation Renols Mataj, Endri Kasaj, Taulant Kasa, Armir Xhafaj, with the duty of the service corps in the urban and interurban section of the Local Police Directorate of Vlora, suspected for committing the criminal offense "Abuse of duty" committed in collaboration. 

Investigations continue regarding the identification of other actions and practices and other persons implicated in the illegal cases identified so far," it is stated in the file.
