Vlora Police have arrested on Saturday the 38-year-old Antonio Xhaferi in the village of Bishan, on behalf of Spanish justice, as he will be extradited to Spain. 

The action was taken in the early hours of this morning, following an international request, since the 38-year-old has been declared wanted by Spain for cultivation and trafficking of narcotics. 

Meanwhile, sources from the Vlora police have revealed that there are some names from the Spanish state, for whom their extradition is requested. 

"In continuation of the work to apprehend wanted persons, by the services of the Narcotics Investigation Section in the Local Police Directorate of Vlora, was arrested and arrested, for the purpose of extradition, the citizen A. Xh., 38 years old, resident in the village Bishan, Vlora. 

This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the Spanish judicial authorities, with the criminal decision dated 15.01.2021, issued an international arrest warrant for the criminal offenses "Narcotics Trafficking" and "Criminal Organizations", provided by the Criminal Code of Spain. 

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with the Spanish law enforcement authorities, follows the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to Spain", said the police.
