Vuçiç Condemns Burning of Serbian Flags
Desecration of national symbols is certainly unacceptable, has declared the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuçiç, as he commented on the burning of the Serbian flag in the protest by Sali Berisha that took place Monday afternoon in Tirana.
In an interview, Vuçiç, who is in Albania on a two-day visit to sign the most important agreements of the "Open Balkans", said that pacts that will be signed this Tuesday in Tirana are the core of something which will make this part of Europe essentially borderless.
“I know most people are interested in what I'm going to say about burning flags and that this may be the only thing that will make them feel emotional. But when viewed rationally, we must look to the future and understand when they get angry, when we burn their flags, and that was before the arrival of Edi Rama in Serbia.
This happened here (Tirana) last night and I will not go into their internal party reasons. "But it is certainly unacceptable to desecrate the symbols and I think that Albania reacted quickly, seriously and responsibly, and Prime Minister Rama himself", said Vucic.
Furthermore, he added that that the "Open Balkans" is a great idea that will be strengthened, as agreements between the sides are expected to be signed this morning at the Palace of Brigades in Tirana.
The Balkans with the new initiative will be more attractive to investors, because if there is a lack of workers in Kumanovo, he will be able to count in any country in Serbia where he can hire workers, Vucic added.
"Today we are signing an agreement on work permits. People will move much more, they will have opportunities for business and cooperation", proclaimed Vucic.
