Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic declared this Tyesday that the sole purpose of Serbia's military armament is "peacekeeping".

Speaking at the Palace of Serbia, Vucic presented a plan called; "A leap towards the future" - Serbia Expo 2027.

"With this geopolitical situation, the priority is to maintain peace," he said, adding that "if someone thinks that we will return something for someone, no, we will not. We will keep our country safe, we will protect the Constitution", said Vucic.

"Serbia must send a clear message that it is continuing its European path and increasing the pace through reforms, preserving its traditional friends, freedom and independence," the Serbian president said further.

He warned; "a big meeting in the military" on January 30 and a presentation of what will be done for the military and security agencies in February.

Moreover, the Serbian president said that the inaugural session of Serbia's new legislature could be expected after February 1 and that he expects the next Serbian cabinet to be inaugurated by March 15.

"The election victory on December 17 was the cleanest since the restoration of a multi-party system in Serbia and that there have never been fewer complaints about the election process," he said.
