The High Judicial Council (HJC) has decided Tuesday that 16 judges will be included in the race for becoming part of Judicial Electoral College who will be chosen via lot casting.

According to the Council, the judges are: Manjola Xhaxho, Gentian Medja, Sokol Ibi, Klodiana Mema (Veizi), Enton Dhimitri, Alma Kolgjoka, Emona Muçi, Eriol Roshi, Ornela Naqellari, Esmeralda Çeka (Xhili), Rexhep Bektheshi, Margarita Buhali, Ardian Dvorani, Asim Vokshi, Artur Kalaja and Edlira Petri.

Furthermore, the HJC concluded that Alma Ahmeti, Elona Mihali, Arta Duka, Irida Kacerja, Emona Muçi, Esmeralda Xhili, Igerta Hysi, Klodiana Veizi, Migena Laska and Qemal Zaimi are eligible for promotion as Tirana Appellate Court Judges after verification of assets, background and preoficiency.

on Monday, it was announced that “The High Judicial Council, based on article 146 of Electoral Code (as amended), as well as in implementation of Decree of the President of the Republic, no. 11700, dated 06.09.2020 ‘On setting the date of elections for the Assembly’ will organize, on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 17:00, near its premises, at the address Building ‘Pole of Justice’ the casting of lot for the selection of eight judges of the Judicial Electoral College”.
