Woman who was involved in a video with Safet Gjici having sexual intercourse in the latter's office, while holding the position of the mayor of Kukës, Alma Kaçi arrived this Friday at the premises of the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK).

Special Prosecution will officially communicate the accusation of active corruption to Kaçi.

On Thursday, SPAK closed the investigations for Safet Gjici and Alma Kaci.

SPAK has sent the request for trial against the former mayor of Kukes for the criminal offense of "passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", while Kaçi is accused of "active corruption".

Safet Gjici was arrested in June of this year, a few weeks after he was re-elected as the head of the Municipality of the northeastern city.

He appeared in some footage recorded in his office by citizen Alma Kaçi performing shameful acts, while the latter asked him to favor him in a project for the rehabilitation and housing of dogs.

Since then, Gjici has been behind bars, while Kaçi has been under house arrest.
