The "House on the Hill" residence opened its doors on October 1, 2020, which coincides with the "World Day of the Elderly". This residence, which is a new concept for the care of the elderlies in Albania, offers hygienic-sanitary, health and care services for elderlies in every aspect of their lives.

For those who are in search for the ideal place for their loved parents or grandparents, this residence is what they need most as it offers personal care to help them when they need to use the restroom, also to help them dress themselves, and many things they need to do during the day. One of the main conditions of this residence is that during the day the elderlies are dressed nicely regardless of their illness because from the psychological point of view they feel good about themselves, but also for their family members who visit them almost every day.

This residence has a doctor, who is a pathologist and is present at the residence 3 times a week to check all the members’ vital parameters as well as any general health problems they may have. Each of the elderlies have a personal medical card, in which the daily medications they take are recorded, while a nurse is available 24 hours a day to administer medications according to the doctor's instructions.

In cases of deterioration of the health of the elderlies, the medical staff of the residence is always present to provide first aid until the arrival of the medical ambulance, which evaluates the opportunity to send the elderly to the "Mother Teresa" hospital center in Tirana. The staff of the residence, the administrator and the nurse stay at the hospital until the situation improves to make it possible for the elderly to return to the residence.

The structure of the residence is very modern; the main lobby is dedicated to the elderly where they stay most of the day, but also for various events and organizations offered by the residence. The rooms have two or three beds, a TV, air conditioning and cameras so the staff can monitor their moves, for security reasons.

The building also has a kitchen in which the chef cooks breakfast, lunch, dinner and the meals in between every day. Food is consumed in the dining area, which has a wonderful view of the village of Ibe where the structure is located.

In the Residence there is also a personal beauty area to be used by everyone.

"House on the Hill" also offers extra services such as events, birthday parties, Christmas, New Year, Orthodox and Catholic Easter. Through the collaborations that the residence has with various private businesses, catering meals, various desserts and a DJ with Albanian music.

This amazing business, gives the idea of ??a warm family environment, where the elderlies feel at home, never miss the love of the staff who take care of them, but also the presence of family members who are always welcomed to join them.

“We were a very small family which has grown day by day to become a very large family, a very small number separates us from touching the capacity limit of 54 places that our structure has. We are happy that in a short time we have reached this point, completing our mission, which consists of love, care and commitment to the third age,” says the owner.

"House on the Hill" has exceeded the expectations and is now ‘famous’ beyond the borders of Albania, talking about a place where the elderlies are treated with the same love and commitment as if they were with their children.
