50.000 Russian Vaccine Doses to Come to Albania Next Week

Next week, Albania will obtain 50.000 Russian COVID-19 “Sputnik V” jabs, revealed Thursday the Minister of State for Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj while not sparing criticism for the refusal of AlbControl employees to do their jobs.

In his opinion, the attempt of the control tower in Rinas to sabotage the mass vaccination failed and the authorities will keep vaccinating the people at the same rate as before.

"No one will stop us from doing 500.000 vaccinations for Albanians. The numbers are declining, we have started to beat that plague, the vaccination plan will continue rapidly to achieve the objectives we have.

We are negotiating with friendly, producing countries, yesterday we received from the Council of Ministers to negotiate for 50.000 doses of Spuntik, which come next week. Albanians see that the effort is great and intense.

The tower's attempt to sabotage the bringing of the vaccines failed and we will continue to vaccinate Albanian citizens at the same pace", stated Ahmetaj.

The Reconstruction Minister released this statement from Rinas International, where he awaited the arrival of the 100.000 vaccine doses with his two colleagues: Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku.
