Activist Evi Kokalari Withdraws from Albanian Political Scene

The activist, Evi Kokalari, whom we have recently seen alongside former Prime Minister Sali Berisha in almost all "Foltore" held, has decided to withdraw from the political scene in Albania, returning to life in the United States of America.

Kokalari shared her decision with her followers on Facebook, where she states that she will continue to be in communication with the members of the Re-establishment Commission.

"I have decided to distance myself a little from politics in Albania. Although with all my heart and soul I am where the fight for a strong opposition continues, I want to return to my life in America that I have had completely abandoned since September 2021. I will continue to be in constant communication with the members of the Re-establishment Commission, however not as active as before. Despite the attacks of the last four months, one thing is indisputable - the friendships I have made in Tirana have really warmed my heart, and not only the support I have received from the people I have met every day on the streets of Tirana and during the Foltore, have really made sense of the sacrifice of recent months. My compatriots in the Diaspora; I want to tell you that our people are poor, so make a serious commitment that they really need help. Let go of the grievances and hatred of the past and support those who are struggling for days to save pluralism. In the meantime, I will continue to communicate my opinions through social media. Thanking you all for your support, Sincerely, Evi," stated Kokalari.
