Albania has donated 1 million EUR for the citizens affected by the earthquake in Turkey, as the death toll from earth tremors has passed 36,187. 

For the donation, Prime Minister Edi Rama called live during the "Turkey a heart" campaign that was broadcast simultaneously on several Turkish television channels, where he expressed his condolences for the lives lost in the earthquake a few days ago. 

While announcing the figure, the prime minister emphasized that he has not forgotten what Turkey and Erdogan did for the 2019 earthquake. 

“We sent our relief teams to help as much as we could. We know we are a small country. We have not forgotten what Turkey and Erdogan did for us in the 2019 earthquake. 

We did our best to support the Turkish people. Thanks to Turkey's fantastic efforts, I am sure that everything will be successful. We are donating 1 million euros in the name of the Albanian people. I know it's not much, it needs a lot more. That's all we can do now. 

The important thing is that our hearts are one and we do our best", said PM Rama.
