Albania: More Deaths Recorded Due to Accidents than Pandemic in 2020
The National Emergency announced the figures which showed that the number of victims from accidents is very worrying.
In 2020, there were 6,248 road accidents in Albania with 159 victims, while 1,261 patients died from the pandemic.
Tirana leads the accidents, followed by Vlora, Durrës and Korca. The emergency calls for drivers to drive more carefully with their vehicle and it is time to end the loss of life due to traffic violations.

The year that just passed was a difficult year. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in our country so far unfortunately 1261 people have lost their lives.
Unfortunately, 159 people lost their lives in road accidents.
Although during 2020 we often had traffic restrictions, the number of road accidents is very high.
The highest number of accidents is recorded in Tirana with 2631 accidents, followed by other cities such as Vlora with 803, Durrës with 576, etc.

Shkodra: 85 accidents.
Vlora: 803 accidents.
Diber: 52 accidents.
