Albania Struggling with 13 Active Fires

Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama has come up Wednesday with a list of fires in Albania as he revealed that there are 13 fires in the whole country and that most of them have not put the houses in danger.

Based on the information provided by the Head of Government, there are fires from Karaburun to Shkodra, but there is a danger for the houses only in Fushë-Arrëz, where a helicopter was sent to intervene from the air.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister shared images from the intervention of firefighters and soldiers of the Armed Forces in the last 24 hours to control and extinguish the fires.

“There are currently 13 fires across the country, respectively in:

Karaburun Peninsula. No risk on housing.

Shkodra, in the village of Cukal. No risk on housing.

In Fushë-Arrëz, which is dangerous for crossing into residential areas, a helicopter was sent for air support.

Gjirokastra, fires continue in the Lunxhëria valley. There is no risk on dwellings. Armed forces and others from the ground are working.

The fire in the pine hill in the village "Arshi Lengo", all operational forces and a helicopter are working.

In the municipality of Tepelena. No risk on housing.

The forest of Shetaj village. No risk on housing.

In the municipality of Durrës, the village of Manskuri. No risk on housing.

Dibër, Lukan village. No risk on housing.

In the municipality of Mallakastër. No risk on housing.
