Albania to Asses Necessity of Anti-Coronavirus Measures
Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu declared Monday that the responsible authorities will evaluate the measures aiming at curbing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 at the weekend as she stressed that Albania is seeing a stable trend of daily incidence.
At her statement before the media and in presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister Manastirliu pronounced from Rinas that the government does not want to head towards further restrictive measures against the pandemic.
On the other hand, the Health Minister Manastirliu stressed that so far, 6.000 doctors and nurses have been vaccinated, and added that the age groups that are most at risk will be given the anti-virus cure.
"At the weekend we will have an assessment of the measures against Covid-19. There is a steady trend of daily incidence. The latest austerity measures we have taken relate to the lowering of curfew and online learning alternations. The impact of the measures is not immediate. This impact is observed for 14 days.
We do not want to go to new restrictive measures, because if we can respect the rules against coronavirus, we may not go to a situation where the world and European countries have been for two months.
More than 6,000 doctors and nurses have been vaccinated. After doctors and nurses, the most at-risk ages will be vaccinated. Vaccination of people over 80 years old has already started", communicated Manastirliu.
