A powerful storm swept through the southern Albanian coastal city of Sarandë on Wednesday, causing widespread damage despite lasting only a short time.

Strong winds uprooted trees across the city, blocking several roads and damaging numerous vehicles. One of the most serious incidents occurred on a road opposite the city's stadium, where a large pine tree fell onto three parked vehicles. Local reports indicate that dozens of other vehicles were also damaged in different parts of Sarandë.

Emergency medical services said three people were treated for injuries caused by shattered glass during the storm. After receiving medical care, all three were discharged and returned home.

Municipal crews have been deployed across the city to clear fallen trees, reopen affected roads, and assess the extent of the damage. Authorities continue to monitor the situation as cleanup operations remain underway.

The storm is part of a broader wave of severe weather that has affected large parts of the Balkans and several regions of Albania this week, bringing strong winds and disrupting daily life in a number of areas.
