Border Police services and the Maritime Police Unit of the Vlora Border and Migration Directorate have intensified security measures by significantly increasing patrols along the Vlora–Ksamil coastline.

During a patrol operation on Sunday, Border Police received reports from vacationers that an inflatable speedboat had approached close to the shoreline in the Dhërmi area, posing a risk to the safety of beachgoers.

Officers from the Dhërmi Border Police Station and the Maritime Police Unit intervened immediately and identified the vessel, which was being operated by citizen identified as F.D.

Following administrative procedures, authorities imposed a fine of 500,000 Albanian lekë on the operator.

The vessel was also seized by authorities.

Border Police have called on all users of maritime vehicles to strictly respect navigation rules and maintain safety perimeters for vacationers swimming and relaxing in designated beach areas.
