Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama Meets Children from “Linkest” Library in Bitola During Visit to Tirana
A group of children from the “Linkest” Library in Bitola visited the Albanian Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana on Friday, where they held a special meeting with Albania’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
The visit brought together young members of the Albanian community from Bitola, in North Macedonia, who are actively engaged in preserving the Albanian language and culture through reading and educational activities organized by the library.
Also attending the meeting was Denion Meidani, Albania’s ambassador to North Macedonia, who highlighted the role of the Albanian Embassy in supporting cultural and educational initiatives for Albanian communities living abroad.
“In the Prime Minister’s Office, together with children from the ‘Linkest’ Library in Bitola, in a special meeting with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama,” Meidani wrote in a post on social media, sharing photos from the visit.
He emphasized the importance of preserving language and identity among younger generations living outside Albania.
“These are children who keep the Albanian language, Albanian books and love for our identity alive, even beyond borders. Every word learned and every book read in Albanian is a bridge connecting generations and proof that wherever they are, the sons and daughters of the Albanian language keep their culture alive,” Meidani wrote.
“Where the Albanian language is preserved, the spirit of the nation is preserved,” he added.
