Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, in her message on the 1st anniversary of Russia's attack on Ukraine, expressed support for the righteous struggle of Ukraine to protect freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Among others, Nikolla emphasized that Albania is positioned at the forefront of the civilized world to the defense of a sovereign country.

"One year after Russia's military attack against Ukraine, Albania continues to strongly support Ukraine's just struggle to defend its freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity. With the Resolution of the Assembly, the financial, humanitarian and military support as a NATO member country, the reception of the displaced and the contribution as co-penholders with the USA in the UNSC and the unification of positions with the EU, we are at the forefront of the efforts of the civilized world to the defense of a sovereign country.
