Albanian Weightlifter Becomes World Champion

Albanian weightlifter, Briken Calja, the fourth in the world in the last Olympics, has been declared the world champion in the snatch style in the weight of 73 kg. The Albanian athlete managed to lift 156 kg. Meanwhile, the other Albanian athlete Erkand Qerimaj took fourth place. 

Calja competed with Erkand Qerimaj in this weight and both have been in the race to win medals. 

Qerimaj performed the first test, 150 kg and then could not lead the second with a weight of 153 kilograms. He completed the third, but was ranked after the Russian Petrov, in fourth place only due to the smaller body weight of the opponent. Meanwhile, Calja successfully completed the first test 152 kilograms and the second 154 kilograms, being in the race for gold medal with Thai Jeram. 

But the latter made a mistake in the final test and gave the opportunity to Calja who did not  in the weight of 156 kilograms being declared world champion in snatch.
