Alibeaj Closes the Door to Negotiations with Berisha
Head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Enkelejd Alibeaj seems to have "closed" the door to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, leaving no possibility for negotiations. In a balance of 2022, Alibeaj calls Berisha and Rama as two antiquities of the transition, saying that intrigues, traps and tricks are the mechanisms in the hands of old politics.
Through a post on Facebook, he emphasizes that these two old political figures seem like strong players because of the bargains, but he says that they are plagued by the shadow of scandals and the stamp of 'non grata'.
"To defeat a regime, above all, morality and truth are needed. Not those usual quarrels of those who swear and destroy, and then chew everything for the sake of the chair. Intrigues, traps and tricks are the mechanisms in the hands of the old politics, which tries to stay afloat with communist methods. With the same methods, Edi Rama and Sali Berisha are holding the opposition hostage today, and with it the change that Albanians are waiting for. The two antiquities of the transition hold each other on the half-fallen stage of politics, with the hope that without one, the other would not be able to resist any longer. The petty games, bargains and agreements they have made with each other over the years make them look like strong players, although plagued by the shadow of scandals and the stamp of non grata", writes Alibeaj among other things.
