Anti-Albanian Chants in the Eyes of Leaders at the North Macedonia–Romania Basketball Match

During the pre-qualifying match for the World Basketball Championship between North Macedonia and Romania, held in Kumanovo, some fans let out open anti-Albanian chants and chants.

The match was attended by many state figures, including the Prime Minister. Christjan Mickoski and his cabinet ministers.

But, despite the presence of the authorities, there was no official reaction to the serious insults that were heard from the stands.

Some of the scandalous chants were: "A good Albanian is a dead Albanian", “Gas chamber for Albanians” and choirs calling for a "pure Macedonia".
