Albania is expected to be engulfed by bad weather with rain and storm until this Saturday afternoon. 

The Institute of Geosciences warns citizens in the South of the country about the danger as a result of the rains that are expected to be intense. In the Vjosa River, the inflows can cause localized flooding. 

"According to IGJEO calculations, intense rain is expected today, which will be more concentrated in the south of the territory. In the regions of Berat, Vlora and Gjirokastra there may be rapid flooding of small mountain rivers and landslides. In the Vjosa River, the inflows can cause localized flooding. 

In urban areas in these counties, localized flood problems can occur, depending on the condition of the sewers. This information will be updated by IGJEO according to the latest hydrological calculations and you will be notified of any changes in the flood risk forecast,” IGJEUM informed.
