In a meeting with the Textile Manufacturer Association, Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha promised that the minimum salary will be EUR 400 until the end of the first term of his government.

Basha signed a contract of guarantee with the Association, while he showed them the plan that the Democratic Party has for this sector. According to Basha, the business with the DP program for the economy will be placed in a cycle of positivity, which offers support for products of Albanian origin and the Textile Manufacturer business will be called Albanian manufactory. 

"We will be proud of you in Europe. To date, you have managed to succeed not only without the help of the government but with the government against you. The change on April 25 is that you will have a government with which we share the same interest, certainly from different positions. 

As I told you openly even when I met with you, the interest of the government is also to increase the number of employees, but also to increase jobs and increase salaries. I want to stop for a moment here, the salary increase is undoubtedly one of our main objectives and you know that for two years we have announced that in the first year the minimum wage will be EUR 300 and in the fourth year of government EUR 400.
